Dr. Larry A. Stobbs was born August 16, 1953, in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Nathan (girlfriend Wendy) and Clayton (wife Kelly); sister, Carol Pryznyk of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan; sister, Bev Glasscock of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; sister, Bonnie Pike of Winnipeg, Manitoba; brother, Gary of Lloyd Minster, Saskatchewan; brother, Bob (Robert A.) of Regina, Saskatchewan; brother, Ken of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a young boy, Larry was an achiever, being an outstanding student and valedictorian of his high school class. In 1977 he achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. After marrying Linda in 1977, Larry briefly practiced veterinary medicine but quickly transitioned into research with Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly, where he spent 28 years of his life. Larry ended his career with Elanco in 2008 as the Director of Global Regulatory affairs. Throughout his illustrious career, Larry traveled the world and was responsible for global changes in the animal health and food industry for the goal of availability of food for the world.
Larry enjoyed golfing with his sons and many friends and built countless friendships at the Bridgewater Golf Club. The Masters and playing Pebble Beach were two highlights of his life.
Larry was an optimist and scientist to the end, wanting to try every possible avenue to advance cancer research. Never for himself, but always for others.
Larry had incredible faith and trust in the Lord. His time at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church was very special to him and provided him much strength and grace in his battle with cancer.

John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
